I have resided and worked in the McKinney area for the last fourteen years. I have enjoyed living in a city that values family, preservation of history, and sense of community. I have been married for 21 years and have two children. I take an approach to working with families from my experiences as a spouse and father of children elementary aged through the teen years.

For the past 21 years, I have worked in the counseling and social work profession. My past experience has included employment as a school counselor, social worker and adoption worker as well as extensive experience in private practice.

Through my years working with children, I have developed effective strategies to address their many needs. I understand their developmental needs and growth and use this knowledge to help them with their academic, behavioral, and emotional challenges.

When working with individuals and couples, I try to provide effective counseling by assisting them in learning to meet their needs in a safe yet productive environment. I approach therapy with a “real world” spin on traditional counseling theory.

I perceive each client as an individual requiring an approach unique to their particular needs. Overall, the basis of my counseling orientation is client centered, solution focused therapy with a cognitive and behavioral emphasis. I look forward to working with you or your family and view it as a privilege to assist you in reaching clarity, solutions and resolutions to the issues that bring you to my office.
