Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor McKinney, TX
I am currently a Licensed Professional Counselor Intern and a National Certified Counselor under the supervision of Dr. Laura Pace. I am from McKinney and am excited to serve the community. I have been married for six years and have a wonderful daughter. I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, and being outdoors.
Growing up, I always knew I wanted to help others. Throughout my life, I have been positively impacted by counseling personally and professionally. I have experience working with adults, adolescents, and children during my practicum and internship. I believe counseling is a collaborative process built on a trusting relationship in a safe and non-judgmental environment.
I believe that each individual’s experience is unique and will tailor the counseling process to meet each individual’s needs. Through my training, I have experience working with individuals as well as groups. My experience includes play therapy groups, self-esteem groups, social skills groups for children and adolescents and parenting groups for adults. I counsel from Person-Centered theory and believe that every person is capable of growth. I feel honored to be a part of your counseling journey.
I have a passion for working with kids! As a former teacher, I believe children need a space to process what is going on for them in their world. Through play therapy, a child’s emotional, psychological, and social needs can flourish in a developmentally appropriate manner. I have experience in play therapy, expressive arts, and child- parent relationship training. I look forward to working with you and your child in the future!

Susie Hales is the most gentle, patient, caring, non judgmental, genuine and professional soul I have ever meet in my life. Where would I be today without her listening to my so many years of tremendous hardship? She helps me understand and grow! I absolutely would recommend CCA.
Lana Snear is so wonderful. She just listens, and helps me get through what I was trying to do on my own, unsuccessfully. Also, the office staff is so friendly and helpful. I appreciate how simple and easy the check in process is.
