I am an LPC Associate. I am supervised by Tammie Shelton LPC-S (tshelton2014@gmail.com) My theoretical approach is Cognitive Behavioral and Solution-Focused Therapy. I strive to empower the client to play an active role in their therapy. It is important to me to create a safe, nonjudgemental, and empathetic environment and relationship with each client so that the therapy can be the most impactful. My goal is to help every client reach their full potential through healing, growth, and goal completion.
I was a teacher for 8 years and have been a school counselor for 3. This work experience helped me to learn how to make meaningful connections with children where they feel supported so that progress could begin. I have ample experience with children and helping them work through emotion or anger management, anxiety, and focus issues. I believe every voice is important and children need to be heard and feel validated as they navigate difficult situations.
