M.S., LPC Associate, NCC under the supervision of Sarah Balint Bravo, M.Ed, LPC-S, RPT-S, NCC
I have a passion for helping others through the power of the therapeutic relationship. My beliefs in the counseling process are strongly rooted in the person-centered approach to build relationships with clients that encourage them to recognize ways to foster healthy relationships outside the counseling room. However, I also believe in the power of learning through different methods which leads me to bring in a variety of activities and techniques to help the growth and development process that meets each client’s needs.
I found myself committed to helping others since I was in high school. I have continued my education on the path of counseling throughout my educational career. I spent the beginning of my college career at a community college in California completing general education and early childhood education courses. I then moved on to complete my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at the University of Oklahoma. Most recently I’ve completed my Master’s degree in Counseling at the University of North Texas. During my coursework at the University of North Texas, I honed my skills to work across the lifespan. I also developed skills for working amongst groups, using mindfulness techniques, and incorporating expressive arts elements.
I love spending time with my family on adventures in the North Texas area and have a strong love for reading and video games when I have the time.
